would you be interested in mentoring me? passing on all your keen insights and hard earned knowledge? i've an eye for canal life and want to take the plunge and own my own boat, or share one with someone, but i am nervous about my lack of actual experience and i've recently survived some sort of escape from italy disaster movie (lockdown has unleashed their làtent fascist tendencies) and am battered and bruised a bit and looking for a helping hand. i have a few friends in nottingham area, but know no one with any barge/boat experience, also because of my circumstances (usa disability $ ((2k/month)) income restrictions and stolen italian passport i need to replace) i can't have my name on anything. boo brexit boo. is asking to meet in september or october before i head north from my current dutch hills and heather hideaway a feasible idea? is there a cheap budget boatfloat/pontoon i could look for here? is getting across the channel doable, or is it better to shop where i want to stop? i've collected a big battery and parts for a mobile solar setup but i need a hand to hold and reassure my lazy arthritic weak hands and knees that work well only an hour or three a day that this is something i won't be overwhelmed by. seeing offers for half shares on two bunkered boats made me wonder if you might want to co-own your dream boat with me? i have no preferences besides a comfy bed, hot coffee and freedom from alarm clocks and rigid routines. thoughts?

don't know how the internet brought me here, but i'm up for an adventure. i have tons of time, also legally blind, but barely, and contacts and glasses make everything but reading tiny print perfectly clear. ex gymnast, ex nyc fashion designer, ex zen meditation junkie, with a lot of writing locked away on stolen iphones want to spend a year in and around england, on a slow boat. quick learner, engineering abilities, but weak hands and terrible with time i'll be eyes and feet, you can be the hands and heart?
