Same here. We lost Millie in 2020 and I still miss her, it's not as raw as it used to be but it's still there. For the first six months I couldn't talk about her, particularly those last hours, without breaking down. I still talk to her sometimes, especially when I sneeze suddenly - she used to give me a baleful glare because I'd woke her suddenly and walk out of the room with a last glare when I did that ❤️. Getting another dog was out of the question, I'm disabled now and can't walk a dog, my husband has his hands full looking after me, working full time and doing all the housework. We decided to donate the money we would have spent on the upkeep of a dog to Guide Dogs for the Blind, we've sponsored two puppies since Millie died. Millie, our corgi/jrt cross .❤️
