Planning a trip from Lapworth down to the Avon and was wondering if anyone has had difficulty sticking in the locks with a full length boat, ie 71ft 6 inches in length and around 7ft in width (Although a little more in places!). Many thanks.

Am planning a trip on the Thames in June and looking at various types and sizes of anchors. The boat is a large northwich and has an estimated displacement of 30 tonnes. Just looking for advice on anchor design and also sizes?

Am wondering if there are any working boats selling diesel on the Northern Section of the Oxford Canal as I am looking for around 120 gallons (yes, gallons) of diesel. I`d rather buy from a working boat than a marina. I can meet you anywhere between Hawksbury Junction and Braunston.
