Hi everyone, I've been spying on you all for the last few months, picking your brains and gaining knowledge of the canal scene.
The wife and I will be moving to a canalside house in Rudheath, Northwich in the next few weeks and very shortly after will be buying a 57 foot narrowboat.
We have done quite a few boating hol's on the Broads and Thames and have decided we want to cruise the canals now. My job gives me quite a bit of time off ( I work 4 nights on and 4 off ) so we will get quite a lot of use out of our own boat.
I am struggling to find a mooring for the boat, my house backs on to the towpath on the Trent and Mersey and I am told by BW that I cannot have end of garden mooring on the towpath side.
I have tried the nearest marinas that I know of i.e. Anderton (both) and Orchard marina, all are full.
I am waiting for BW to send me a list of available moorings to tender for but as far as I can see on-line there is only 1 on the T&M.
Does anyone have any other places I could try.
Thanks in anticipation, Les.

I,ve looked on the boaters guide map and the moorings at the rear of our (soon to be) house are 14 day.
Do I need to apply to BW to use these as winter moorings?
