  1. That's Princess Anne and Telford, we spoke to them at Barbridge. I used to keep hens they are lovely, my daughter used to wander round the garden with "Chicken 6" under her arm when she was little! It's 30 grand for the motor and the butty, the ad on the duck is a bit unclear.
  2. I like them too, I was told at the weekend that they need a lot of work...but I still like them.
  3. I don't think so, I was told yesterday (2nd hand) that it needs a new prop/shaft and that it has spread to 7'4", that would be OK except (if I've got this right) the owner wouldn't reduce the price enough to take into consideration the amount of work needed to fix her, such a shame. Edited to say we are still looking and hoping that *our* boat will come along!
  4. Well Juno *IS* back up for sale again!
  5. We are now on "The duck"! Boat for sale
  6. Well it will be interesting to see what they do, I'm sure they will share progress via the website.
  7. That's the Riveted Narrowboat Boat co bloke isn't it?
  8. Thanks Sarah, I know,I do! I'm hoping my CWDF super sleuths will help me, we could be off the canal by the end of next week so it'll be hard to keep in touch with any boaty people now that the festival season is nearly over. We are members of HNBC so mebbe something will come up in the magazine...fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed, now I've fallen over! It doesn't, I can only look at it from my POV, if I'd got it I would restore it...but then that's just me.
  9. Why buy it if your not going to do it up...am I being naive?
  10. Thank you, Done email...now for the covert ops gear <snigger>!
  11. Wow, I'd like to see a blog of that restoration.
  12. That's me Taurus PR officer, I might award myself a badge! :-)
  13. Ooh...I hope she likes it :-)))) If you have any questions please feel free to email me.
  14. It's nice that you all took the time to reply, if anyone needs to get me my email is allysonx(at)hotmail(dot)com The thought of being without a boat is quite unbearable...but hopefully it will be worth it in the end.
  15. That's about what we were expecting, but we will do some work ourselves over time to spread out the cost. Hawkesbury is lovely but not quite how I would want it...but too good to change.
  16. Behave! I've not lost the plot...yet! Ah but you have short boats, I seriously love them but sadly my OH doesn't. I've done a search and I can't find them now... Well if we had an unlimited budget, plenty of time and more skills...mebbe. I think Ian is just lovely, I know what you mean about the lottery win. If I won big (which isn't likely as I don't do it) I'd probably end up with a fleet.
  17. You would need a bilge pump wallah! I know I saw the pictures on here a couple of weeks ago, sad and sorry sight :-(
  18. Hahahahahaha...even I'm not that mad! But ya' know a little part of me thinks........ NO, I'm not that mad! ...and don't anyone say Water Lupin!
  19. Thank you, I love it but it's just a bit out of our price range...sadly! I like the idea of taking an unloved boat and nurturing it back to health. I saw that in the HNBC mag but assumed it would have gone by now...I like it very much. I've had a good look at that advert, we might go and see Jesmond when Taurus goes...mind you now that I've said that it will probably sell today! I used to live in the real Jesmond.
  20. Thanks Dan, I know the pennies situation, I've still got a picture of it as my screensaver, should take it off now it make me sad.
  21. I'm very jealous of Roy, I've been watching that boat for 2 years and just as we get near it goes...such is life! Yes indeed they have
  22. Thank you, your very kind x
  23. Thanks Liam, we will eventually be living aboard so an undercloth conversion would be nice but we will look at anything full length, don't mind work, don't mind elm bottom, don't mind wooden cabins :-) I was hoping for Juno but we've missed it.
