  1. I'm certain that there is an appliance always on after each breaker... The led indicators. The led for each breaker takes a feed from the load side positive... Unless I misunderstand the way this panel works.
  2. Hi Tony, I can probably tell you this now with some degree of accuracy... Our battery monitor reads voltage at the terminals. We tend to charge when the batteries are at about 12.1. During bulk charging (multi stage charging) the voltage is around 13.2 at around 57 amps it stays like this for about 40mins then the absorbtion phase rises to about 14.2 and current slowly reduces until float stage... Further reducing current. Battery voltage soon after charging has stopped is around 12.5v... Our bank (of 4 x 160 amp hour) is supposedly nearly 10 years old. It's capacity I estimate to be half of its original. Any clues here?
  3. We do have an RCD and It has never tripped. I have just tested it... Seems to function correctly I did email mastervolt with the symptoms last night though I'm not holding out much hope for a reply
  4. Hi DandV, Would the RCD trip in this case?
  5. That's a start... I'll try it. Another thought... Could it be that circuit that distributes power to the led indicators on the breakers is malfunctioning... This circuit drawing a momentary surge of current to trip all of the breakers? The led indicators are on the load side.
  6. The led indicators feed from the load side of the breaker meaning each breaker with an led on the load side is active... Could this be a clue?
  7. WotEver... I'll check and let you know Multimeter says no... They deliver 12v to the indicators
  8. I've edited the link to the pictures a couple of posts up... Thanks once again ? Thanks peterF
  9. Hi all, thanks for your thoughts. I'm grateful for your time. The boat does have AC from the Inverter, a mastervolt Dakar combi Inverter/charger. We do use the charger with our generator but the issue doesn't occur during charging. My gut feeling is something to do with the fridge or the Inverter... But I'm no electrician. FYI the Inverter and breaker panel are original from 2003 Pictures of breaker
  10. Hi everyone... Long time reader but this is my first post. We have a Mastervolt dc circuit breaker/distribution panel that has developed a curious habit. Recently all of the breakers have been tripping all at once without any obvious cause seemingly at random. This is our 3rd boat and the 1st with breakers rather than fuses so perhaps I'm missing something. I've been racking my brain..... I've recently installed a Waeco compressor coolbox as well as a Mastervolt battery monitor with double shunt. Installed new horns, a tunnel light on/off indicator lamp, I also wired a toggle switch in line to the fresh water pump. Many months ago I installed a 12v audio amplifier (draws 2 amps max) taking a feed from the water pump cables. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. James
