Thankyou so much, hopefully i can repair the inverter that i got from a carboot for a tenner ive had it for about 6 months and thought it was a long shot, but now i finally have the name of that chip so can give it a go at reapiring it if you need any other points testing against mine let me know hopefully we can get them both operational again

i do have one that i can get you the value of that resistor, but i need you to take a photo of this area for me please as i need to replace a IC that has gone bad on mine and mines too burnt to read the numbers

thats all thats left on mine, i can make out TN and 4 and i guess its ST electronics part :(

did you ever find out what this part is? i have one that has the same problem and i cannot make the numbers out as they have exploded off same as yours, need somone with a working unit or just a photo of that board for the part number thanks
