  1. I only live 5 mins drive from the venue so i will have a walk along the canal and have a look at whats going on ( i might even take my bike ).
  2. but I'm going to have to be a bit creative about how I do it; it's like a case of stealth caring. Sell him raffle tickets (but dont tell him only he is getting any) and then do a collection on here to make up the prize. you could print up some fake charity draw tickets Colin
  3. Hi Steve Preston Brook is only 10 miles from me, i take the dogs along there at least once a week. and 2 years ago i spent every friday at Preston brook during the season, i was a volunteer with the Canal Boat Adventure Project, they have there boats moored at Claymoore. that is an option but i was hoping to venture a little further from home Thanks
  4. Wow thanks for all of your replys , now i am stuck for choice I will be going about the end of may, and for the one's a bit further away i can stay over night in a travel lodge. So thinking cap's on, and i will let you know how it goes. Thanks again
  5. Hi can anyone recommend a good Dayboat to hire for a day. i have hired near Chirk a few times , but might change this year. Thanks Colin
  6. Over the weekend i was walking 2 of our dogs along the canal and there was an A4 size notice about the saltersford tunnel times stuck on the dutton stop locks.

  8. Theres a nice River & Canal walk from Acton bridge, along the T&M Canal towards preston brook then along a footpath to the river weaver to dutton lock then back along the weaver to acton bridge. the shortest about 2miles but you can walk beyond dutton lock or walk to dutton stop lock on the T&M then back along the canal before going onto the weaver.

  11. I wont go off on one or jump to anything But why tape a dead dog up it wont stop it from floating ( but it will stop it from swimming away to safety ) Burial at sea ? As i said i wont go off on one on this site, but i am involved with greyhound and lurcher rescue and will leave my true feelings on the rescue sites that i visit.
