  1. Have a look and have a read of Tony’s electrical course…….. it’s all there , that’s how I did mine
  2. Hi it’s a small smart charger 240v which will run happily off my genset or the hook up point, the battery’s are 1.5 M from the point inside the boat where I can pick up the pos and Neg, both cables are 16 mm tri rated .
  3. Hi All is there any problem with changing my 3 batteries without disconnecting them? and is it possible to charge from a neg and pos point inside the control panel? from inside the boat thanks Alakefic
  4. Ha I get it! You mean we’d be a pain in the a**e. However, prejudice aside, the question was what problems might we face but thank you for you response
  5. Hi Alan, Mrs Alakefic here. No not only the K&A but for various reasons, we’d like to do that one in the early stage of our new venture. Understand it’s busy but as I say, we’ve got time on our side, so wondered if anyone had any input on potential problems. Cheers
  6. Hi all could do with any advice. not new to boating but new to the idea of Liveaboard we are considering buying a 70’ wide beam and have all the time in the world to cruise her. We would like to navigate the Kennet and Avon and, on paper, all looks good with the lock sizes etc but do any of you good folk see things differently?
  7. Hi Blackrose , Thanks for youre advice . All the slippers, outlet, and air vents are all plenty high enough, the draft is still around 2ft 9in/10 So i really don't have much option to ballast and extend the draft. Meant scuppers....
  8. With all the ballast removed , the bow is still higher that the stern, but i being a shallow v hull it has increased the wobble....😂
  9. Yeah seen that earlier ...vents are fine. Thanks
  10. Hi all, Quick question, I have an overplated 30 foot V HULLED NB, 6mm bottom and 4mm sides up to gunnels It has a 3foot draft so is sitting to low , I have taken all the ballast out, about 700kg and now sits 3inches higher, is it ok to run with no ballast?
  11. Hi Mark Thanks for the info. Just signed up.
  12. thanks Tony much appreciated. nigel
  13.
