Thank you that is so helpful. Really really helpful actually. We are potentially moving from the beautiful GU with access to the Aylesbury arm for long weekends- to closer to London. The pay off is work will be easier to commute, but we don't want to give up our weekend on the cut.

Hi, I used to sign on as AnnaLicorice but for some reason it just won't let me anymore- so here is the Amylicorice 2.0 We are considering changing mooring to be closer to work. And to live onboard. Yes- big step we know. But we've been practicing lately and think that we might be able to make the leap - so to speak. Our current mooring, while it is great, is just too far from work. So some pontoons came up at Engineers Wharf and we looked at them in person and tested the commute. And it is do-able. You are never going to get down the road from work in London unless you want to run the gauntlet of CC or pay a heck of a lot more- which we don't. We love the boat. We love the life. We are just wondering if anyone had been at that part of the canal and can tell us if there are good cruising spots for the weekend. At the moment we go out on a Friday night and come back Sunday- and the GU is great for that. We don't want to be stuck in the basin all weekend every weekend and so we are wondering what the area is like- do boaters moor up around that area. Thanks for your insight. Anna
