  1. I could be a potential shouter. Lol Then again i respect working boats that need to move to help us all. I dont fèel comfortable saying where i live. (I am paranoid) but mean well.
  2. Open question really ? If you do it yourself, what method ? If you get someone to do it who do you trust ? How much did it really cost ? Edit : i did myn this year.
  3. Chuck 2000 eggs in the header tank then they are ready for Putin. Job sorted.
  4. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  5. I feel a bit tipidy tipsy but is it ok if i post my replys tommorow. Thanks you lot have a good night.
  6. My dad he is very good with wood but i do all the car and boaty stuff. Lol
  7. Up north on a canal sumwur secret. Lol I did not need to move because of the mafia(crt), i just dont want to get stuck out of the marina. Its all melted now. No Dave, thanks for telling me that though.
  8. Up north lol. Honest it was about 8mm this morning and in big sheets when a boat went past. Yer though it would do damage, a bit of a daft question from me.
  9. Yer the batterys were about 89% soc, when it gets below 90% it trips out. New batterys and charged to 5 A / 100% SOC every day. I seem to remember it being set to trip into safe mode in the summer. Your doing well then only 2 things lol.
  10. My first winter living on a boat and its frozen over about 8mm, the question is i need to turn my boat around sometime very soon. I guess its a stupid question but this is going to damage my freshly painted blacking i guess ? Some boats have gone past but do i move now or risk it being thicker tomorow. :-/
  11. Good idea cuthound i am just looking on Amazon now for one. Ow frank another good idea i suppose a powerfull bilge pump with a hoselock at one end will do that too. This forum is brill. :-) Ive been using a broom to wash the boat with canal water for 7 months now i just thought i could speed things up a bit. Lol Ya right though the old ways are the best but a little cheeting is ok. :-)
  12. Good advice and i do this at present. Cheers bizzard. Its this one here, Thanks mross They look great i appreciate you looking for me. Just ordered two of them. :-)
  13. Job sorted Cwdf team. Thankyou all very much.
  14. 16amp will be ok wont it. ? http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/everel-16a-rocker-switch-on-off-on-dpst-blue-n35cf
  15. The hot water will be very cold because i last turned on the eberspacher at 10pm last night and ive just timed the burping at around 30 minute intervals. To be honest i think i will do as mentioned recheck for leaks and fit the biggest 12v switch i can find and fit it somewhere on the way to bed.
  16. It is lovely at night on the canal, looking out of the hatch at the stars sheep and horses with no one around.
  17. Ive noticed it while running the engine to charge the batterys up, its not like i turn the engine on and off to use the microwave to warm a curry up or a nan bread. I dont think i could warm rice in a pan but i could do the curry sauce. Hits my self with a stick for going off topic. Lol Ow Leo i never thought of using a leaf blower good idea. :-) I do have micro blisters as well. Thanks. Thats so 1980's.
  18. Thanks Yes it kicks in about every half hour for 1 second and its still doing it. I am going to check the bilge's again but i am confident they will be dry. I dont know what to do after that other than fit a switch like Horace.
  19. Interesting dave ive heard this before but ive never been brave enough to wait very long in the dark without a torch. I should of pointed my torch in his eyes, then he would of said 'erm yer can i borrow your torch please', or had to wait 45 minutes. Haha He did look a bit weird and he had a goaty. Sh!t they've landed. Fisherman are strange though, they must be super brave or daft to camp out in a bivvy in this weather but they do. I had to thor one out last weak.
  20. Horace i don't know where my pressure switch is or what it looks like, but your story sounds like the worst rated 18 movie you could possibly watch about a water leak. Wow. I have a few inspection holes in the floor already and i checked them recently. I suppose i could buy a really big switch and mount it somewhere easy. I always turn off the water pump if i am leaving the boat for a day just in case (not very often these days) ?? Where would my pressure switch be then and what does it look like because the bloody water pump is still kicking in as i type this. Thanks for your post.
  21. Geo really ? I can not believe you just said what i say to people. 'Dogs make better people' 'sometimes' Omg how wierd, yer their are some lovely people out their but i guess sometimes life can re-install different stuff. Geo thanks yur a good egg. X
  22. I might buy a cheapo one i have 500w solar but maybe i think cleaning the boat and charging up the batterys on these dull days makes for a Genny move.
