  1. well im in the process of removing my window..im hAving them renovated.the grp is in fab condition so will get on with it...ive been onto the norman forum and they were a great help...its nice to get information from people who have the same thing as you...and they give good advice...
  2. thanks ian for being helpful .im going to have a look at it next time we have a few days sunshine.... then if i do it wrong ive got time to sort it....i can use my pottery knives that should do it...
  3. so maybe i think going onto a norman boat forum will be a great idea as theyve probably had this question before! the windows dont leak ive checked them during a heavy rain....theyve been closed because the boat was on the sea....i want them to open so i dont roast in the cabin...
  4. hi all as you all know i have my norman 20..the windows have been sealed on the outside with a black mastic...i cannot open them from the inside and would love too with it being so hot but imm scared of breaking the glass. any ideas please...
  5. all sounds good to me...im going to do reviews on everything youve mentioned..then see which would suit the size of my boat..im now in the process of getting a fridge..as i took a coolbox...pretty useless...so looking at those now too...this boating malarky is expensive!! lol
  6. hi..just wanted to say a huge thank you to all who helped me with some locks today...at my now nemesis bowers lock!! you know we all pay money for the upkeep of the locks..so it would be nice if they worked .. i met a lovely men who helped me on my first lock unstead lock..i did 7 locks yesterday...slowly getting the hang of them.i ended up in a village called send...nice place nice pubs too....moored overnight which was fab...then today did the route back...thoroughly enjoyed it...cant wait until i do it again...
  7. so maybe a other kind of heater will be better...thankyou so much for the offer paul...im going to my local chandlers on tuesday so will look into this matter further.so let me get this right...a mr buddy will cause condensation and can topple over so will be unstable? and any other will have to be fitted by a gas fitter that know the laws of the bss...as many of you know like i said in my original post that i really dont like gas...now i know why... but seriously im taking on board all of your helpful advice and will look into it as once summer has gone it may get a bit chilly in the old girl so ive got a couple of months to get it correct.....
  8. no its not a cry for help?? im actually asking for advice on a heater which ive now found......
  9. hi yes its the mr buddy im getting...quite good reviews i may add.my friend has one on her boat .she has it on for 30 mins before she gets dressed then 30 mins before bed and it works fine

  11. well ive completely done myself in today ive taken everything out curtains cushions cleaned the bilges put my names on ...but for some silly reason someone has sikaflexed the windows closed and whilst being in the cockpit it was so hot...so im thinking do i have to take the windows out the reset them in and claean through...maybe they were leaking?
  12. yes it is..its a sweet little thing...the boat names are being put on as we speak..cant wait to get sorted and on the water..as for my old boat its going to london...they want to live aboard for a while yes it needs heating but because its smaller i want to fit it out first..
