  1. There should be a spacer and a stack of shims that goes between the bearing and the input shaft. They transfer the end load onto the bearing. Without them the end load goes onto the end cover of the pump

    I'll take a picture later

    Richard

    Thanks Richard
  2. It doesn't really matter. Which is most convenient for the pipe runs?

I have just made a shaft for one of those

MORE: You've left the spacer out that goes between the input shaft and the bearing

what spacer and where does it go as this is all I got with the engine

  4. It depends on what your engine already has. Can you take a picture from the other side?

I'm interested to see if there is a hexagonal thing on the front of the fuel pump housing. Also, where is your current pressure gauge connected to?

If we work those out, I can tell you what thread you need for the sender

    Richard

    hope this pic is OKpost-26145-0-88312500-1459340599_thumb.jpgpost-26145-0-59548300-1459340676_thumb.jpg
  5. I did say I would see if we have a manual. I'll do that tomorrow

Basically, we find out where to connect a sender, work out the thread you need then you buy a sender and gauge as a pair

And probably work out how to blank off your existing pressure gauge take off

    Richard

    thanks Richard

thanks will get some photo's tomorrow . the capillary one seams to come from the tops of the cylinder heads ? to a gauge in the cabin
  7. The fuel filter on the SW2 engine in your other thread and is standard on SW, SR and ST engines, it is a paper element in a bowl FRAM C11941 PL. The old Crosland number is 489. Crosland have now been taken over by FRAM.

. Thanks that what I need to know
  8. Whether it had a temperature gauge originally or not it would be a good idea to fit one.

A diesel filter would be essential though and there should be one with replaceable element on the engine. A second primary filter before lift pump wouldn't go amiss, such as one here.

should have side diesel filter element as It has a filter
  9. Thanks for the replys will get some pics of engine on . This engine has not been run for three years I can turn it over by hand when it is decompressed and the injectors are working .What do I need to do to recommission it .
