  1. Bailiffs have taken over the yard and kicked every one out. Everything has gone quiet. Creditors meeting didn't happen. No new recievers afaik.
  2. Sounds a bit bitter to me! 10 years ago it was probably still owned by the firm that's just gone bust, but people seem to have liked those times before it all went south.
  3. It's true. I phoned them up today and couldn't get much out of them. They were only in until the creditiors meeting and an official one was appointed. The meeting was going to be on the 14th and it's been cancelled! That's all I can tell you other than the yard was locked today and it's a mess with so many rumours it's hard to tell what's true and what's not so I'm not going to post what I can't confirm
  4. You won't have any problems with David, he runs his business properly and is a very good payer, I believe he also keeps a totally seperate brokerage account to avoid this happening
  5. AFAIK there is no trust account, any money seems to have been used to pay off the worst debts, the staff haven't been paid for months from what I've been lead to believe and suppliers are also owed thousands The brokerage has gone t*ts up! The receivers are in!
  6. Tractor with handler and rented cranes
  7. I would imagine once the receivers are happy, the problem will be moving it to the water and then lifting it in! You'll need a very big crane which I presume is down to you to arrange and pay for.
  8. Is your boat in the water? If not you could have a problem!
  9. Dains LLP 0845 555 8844 Lynn Willamett or David Sherwood
  10. I've got the number of the receiver. I'll post it shortly
  11. Whichever way around it is, some innocent party stands to loose a lot of money, whether it's the buyer or the seller
  12. There's also a lot of boats on hard standing and the only way to move them is to hire a crane
  13. Hi. Signed up to respond to this. I suspect there will be a lot of people in the same situation as above. Nottingham Boat Sales has the receivers in as stated on the office door. His other company Findlay Properties is still trading, which could prove tricky from the same site. NBS was mostly brokerage and secondhand, FP was mostly new builds. No idea if that makes any difference to people in situations like mentioned above.
