Picking up from Alvechurch next weekend planning on going down to Worcester, up the river to Stourport, up Merry Hill and through the Netherton, back down Wolverhampton, up to Great Heywood, then Fradley and Fazeley before either up Aston and Farmers and back through Birmingham, or down Garrison and Catherine-de-Barnes and up Lapworth (depending on time).
Looking for any information on water levels, weed amount, general condition of the canals at the moment please - the sort of stuff you get by travelling rather than from the CR stoppages website.
Thanks in advance for any insider information.
We are also picking our boat us next weekend on Sunday we may bump into each other not literally I hope we are doing the Avon ring

We came off the Avon last Saturday.
Avon licenses are purchased online or over the phone. There is neither ANT nor CRT information points in Bancroft Basin.
The ANT information boat, now at Tewkesbury, can sell you trinkets but is not authorised to take mooring fees, which also have to purchased online.
That’s great info thankyou .
did you go on the seven if so how is it behaving we will be on it in about three weeks

How about using a G clamp bolted to a bracket so you can clamp it to the front of the cratch timber

Hi Will

I think it was on old buses Ie route master type
you could try bus scrap yards

Hi
we did the K&A last year from Aldermaston going west and as some have said mooring was not good we had to go passed our normal stopping times every day until we found a place to moor up
There was miles and miles of what looked like homeless people on floating ( just ) wrecked boats
Having said that we did enjoy every minute of the two weeks holiday 👍😀

Yes that sounds like a good idea. When I think about it there are many different options. Im not so sure I would want to give up the copyrights but it’s something to think about. I quite like the idea of putting the pictures on ceramic as well as card/paper/canvas but it can get quite expensive. I could probably do to concentrate on social media for the time being to generate interest. Thanks Amanda
Just about to start painting..
