Just been looking through those and noticed the repetition of design. I don't think those lock gates represent Hatton, Marple or Foxton. Also the same boat for Gas Street and Droitwich, ignoring the slightly dubious historic claim that there was such a thing as the Droitwich Canals in 1854. And 217ft for Tardebigge is also questionable.
But have you been to the head of the Pocklington canal by boat, and after having started at the other end?
Hi I have been to pocklinton head a few times as I only live about 20 miles from there it’s a very nice walk along the cut with the dog
But I have never been buy boat it’s not passable all the way with some locks dilapidated
The plaques are nice to have just as a reminder where you have been over the years

No screws in the original photo but there is now I have started to put them in my summer house
-
The only reason I put them vertical is because I am a vehicle body builder and all screws on the out side of a truck body where vertical so water ran out the slots to help stop them rotting

So do you think the screws should be vertical or horizontal?
iv done mine vertical 🤪 -

I thought you would do it like that as I worked at a bus garage 31years in the body shop and that’s how we removed stubborn window screws
happy boating

As some one said above try a small drill and drill the head of the bolt
go very steady the bolt may spin so mole grips may be required on the outside
good luck

That’s a smart idea and better then on hire boats we have used where a lift up flap is fitted to extend the bed

How about fitted a sight tube like fitted on house central heating oil tanks then you can watch the poo go up the pipe
Fit a petrol tank float and gauge Wow that would be posh on a poo tank 😎

Has it got a nut outside?
if so can you trap the catch inside and turn the nut anti clockwise

If the new rad has plugs at the top before opening the taps at the bottom you can fill the rad by removing the top plug

What a beautiful looking puppy he looks a bundle of fun
we have a German shepherd called Maisie that’s 7 months old and her most favourite toy in the garden is a plastic watering can
we found training is very important from the word go
all the best

I know it may be a bit late but how about a trip to screwfix and get a roll of silver foil insulation 25mx1.5 for 75 pounds
it may be useful in the winter months too

Hi
We got back from the Stratford ring two weeks ago after two weeks holiday it definitely was not a rush we started from Alverchurch and went clock wise stopping at numerous pubs as we went
i my self thinks it’s the most beautiful ring I have been on and that’s most of them
the loc is are a little hard for the girls to wind the paddle on but that’s the fun of boating
ps we did the Tardebigge. locks in 3.5 hours it says 7 in the book and the ring was very quiet from traffic
