Gloucester Waterways Museum certainly has a few and I imagine Ellesmere Port does too. Gloucesters were photographed by the Public Catalogue Foundation a few years ago. The paintings and some of the painted ware can be seen online here http://www.bbc.co.uk/arts/yourpaintings/paintings/search/located_at/gloucester-waterways-museum-3320_locations
our boat is called Dil, after the aunt that left us enough money to buy it. We renamed it as the previous owner had died and yes it was out of the water when we renamed it!
I have a 3 gallon Frank Jones which following advice form Phil Speight I painted with artists picture varnish. All the flaking has stopped and I can now gently dust it to keep it clean as it's kept at home and not on the boat. I'd recommend this treatment for any flaking painted wares.
