  1. I'm hoping to get a little clarification on the distance required between an LPG hob and the back wall of the kitchen (the side of the boat). I'm not dong to gas myself, but do need to know where the hob is going to be installed in order to build the kitchen correctly. On the one hand, it all seems clear - 50mm from the gas regs, with the appliance manual taking priority over this, and all that i've seen say 50 or 55mm. This makes sense, but makes hob choice tricky as even some on midland chandlers are 500mm deep, meaning that the worktop is going to be a bit over 550mm deep, which is problematic on a lot of boats. What makes me curious is that I think I've seen several professionaly fitted out boats getting around the 50mm spacing, perhaps with the use of flame retardent / heat proof material in the area with the reduced gap (as discussed in this thread). What are these builders up to? Any input would be greatly appreaciated. 0mm gap: Very small gap with some kind of heat protection: Sub 50mm gap, with some sort of protection:
  2. I've been happy with this 12v to usb converter from ebay. The long wire run is in 12v with this unit at the end, and It seems perfectly happy with 11 to 15v.
