hi guys, thanks for all the responses. meadows seems to be the maker no sure its is ninety years old though. oh what a loss the demise of this once great company they made engines for everything. now i need your opinions.i supose these engines get more rare every day ,i was going to throw it in to one of my old boats now i am thinking may be i should let some one else have the responserbilty of restoring it.
On ebay completed listings there is a original bottom end for a meadows 4ed that sold for eight thousand pounds.i dont expect this to be such a find, but at the upton feastival this year i met the former owner of the russell newbury engine manufactorers, very passionate about the history of these great old british companies as many of us are.
so what you think, do i chuck it in a old power boat called journeyman.or sell it so someone else can enjoy my engine arh,
inerested in all your thoughts.
