  3. This doesn't help you Martin, but when we got our boat from new Elecsol batteries were fitted, they lasted just under 4 years. Afraid I wouldn't touch them again with a bargepole. Other makes of batteries in other boats have lasted longer and not always the most expensive ones.
  4. Morso wood burning stove. We had one in our previous boat and it was the best thing since sliced bread. When we purchased this boat I thought that Alde heating would be better. No mucky ashes to shift, no fuel to carry, less dust etc: but oh how I miss it and there is no place to fit one in this boat.
  5. Sam, Maffi asked for them to be removed if you read the message properly.
  6. Maffi, I can remove them if you wish. Have deleted one for the time being.

  9. Richard, both photo's are there, lovely little dogs they are too. If you do want to delete one all you need to do is click on the pic to enlarge it and then hit 'delete'. But why remove any they are both OK.

  11. Luckily we have just paid ours until December next year, but the notification has just arrived from BW that mooring fees are to be increased again from April 2005 by £2 per metre. I presume this will effect all moorings whether BW ones like ours or not. According to the letter they are hoping to attract more boaters to the canals, How?

  14. That works reasonably well Martin. I bought a Poncho type one from a well known cheap store and it does keep the hatch and me fairly dry whilst steering. Never thought of putting elastic round though.
  15. I think know the kind you mean, but with some bridges even the steerer has to duck so perhaps a fold down or collapsible type would be better.
  16. Wilson's boat covers do one that just fits over the stern deck of a trad style enough to cover the steerer. It folds forward very quickly if headroom is low. I have seen them in use on trad style boats and they look fine with no restriction to vision since they are made from a clear plastic type material. Sadly their site is still under construction so one is not shown. Their site is Here
  17. Since these forums are absolutely nothing to do with BW, may I suggest that you contact them. Although I can understand your feelings I am locking the subject for now.
  18. Modified slightly Gary so that the link is clickable.
