  1. Haven't read the whole thread but first impression is that the seller has no idea. Full sized Kitchen? WHERE?? IS there some kind of basement underwater?? Takes the piss.....
  2. Yes i agree, the Caldon canal and Llangollen are both good additions to the ring if one has time
  3. Sorry when you say further up, do you coming away or towards to the lock next to the B road?
  4. Hi Mayalid, We dont pick the boat up until the 4th September so hopefully it will be resolved by then! AS stated before on google maps it shows that the towpath side of the canal is a gated community. Would need to moor at the lock near the bridge or further up the canal for access to ASDA?
  5. Great Haywood is smack bang on the Four Counties Ring. Vary varied with some stretch free locks. Harecastle tunnel is a few miles up from the the Junction too. Easily doable in 8hr days. We did it last year and had a great time
  6. Hello kind members, i have a question. Is it safe to moor for an hour or two near the ASDA next to Etihad Stadium (Man City Footbal Club) on the Ashton Canal? Apparently there is a superstore there which we can stock up from. Looking on Google maps the area on the towpath side is a gated community. Perhaps we should moor after the lock near the A6010?
  7. Overwater Marina at Audlem is a good place to stop. Not sure about laundry etc but it has been awarded best Marina a few years now

  11. The Lily drone is your best bet. You get a tracker in the form of a watch and Lily will come right to your hand at request like a bird of prey. It follows you everywhere AND is submersible in water for a set amount of time.

  24. We always took our slow cooker with us (with permission from the hire firm) and this makes life so much easier. You can cook lots of things in it. Plenty of cookbooks out there. Bung it all in in the morning and it will be ready to eat when you are finished. And makes the boat smell nice whetting your appetite! Especially if you are on the stern and the fumes waft past you when cruising.
