The Chesterfield Canal peeps were formally invited at the beginning of this week, at the Northern Canals meeting, so you should hear something soon. Be good to see you both there - and you Bazza - and Allan and Debbie (who've just said they may come by car) - and we'll have ourselves a banter! Right, who else is coming?

south kyme may day festival After the overwhelming success of their first festival, the 2012 one will be set over 2 days with lots more going on as well as the original attractions. It will be held on 5th and 6th May (see link) It's a medieval theme, fancy dress is encouraged, but not essential. As well as the festival, there are quiz nights (pre-book), scarecrow competitions and live music. Also, there is a competition for 'best decorated narrowboat' judged by the parish council. Daytime, free entry. Evening, there is a small charge, will give more details as and when I get them. All welcome. So, who's coming?

Our travel power cost £3500 extra fitted when we bought the boat personaly i wouldnt be without it, its relieable but i did have to have the alternator reconed after 6 years of abuse. It will run a top of the range Hotpiont washer-dryer,dehumidifier and the hoover all at the same time Also making the engine work a bit harder stop the bores from glazing, wouldnt swap it

There are talks going on at the mo about the problem and another meeting about it on the 27th of this month will let you know the outcome when i know more,by the way have you moved thought you were at Boston but couldnt see your boat when i was there on tuesday

You posted quite a long time ago saying that you were not a proper trent boater till you have been grounded insinuating you have.We have come accross quite a few cruisers not grounded but drifting after smashing there props off

All of it there are as many other craft as narrowboats run into trouble on the trent,also fishing and commercial vessels are few and far between in Boston and easier to avoid on a narrower craft surly.On a personal note we have never had trouble on either
