Ginger Boats in Stone solved this problem for me by manufacturing a collar to suit the curve of the roof

I did thank you! Sue & I have compared notes and I am toying around with an online version of a cruising map which generates a log, but work is getting in the way!

Have you thought about getting an alternator controller? Sterling do some good products, including some where you do not need to get inside the alternator to attach to the field coil. PM me if you need more advice
