Wow! I had no idea! I was really just after some advice on getting the boat into the water near in London. The boat is a 53' narrowboat. I appreciate those who have offered relevant advice. I'll look into a few of these options this week. Thanks!

Hi everyone. I hauling a boat from up near manchester to Central London. Our mooring is just west of Regent's Park. We would like to crane the boat in as near to the mooring as we can without dealing with road closers and that sort of complication. Does anyone know points on the canal that we could get a mobile crane to in order to get the boat in the water? Or how we can get a narrowboat into the canal in central London? Any suggestions would be really helpful! Thanks!

Hi, I am hopefully moving in to NIM towards the end of the year. Havent seen in person yet, but my hopes are really high. I am excited about moving to Manchester but really want to stay living afloat. I was omn a great London mooring for about 4 years. For those living down there, whats the atmosphere like? Is there much of a community? How are the facilities? Is it safe? Thanks!

Hello all, I am moving to Manchester soon and am very keen to continue living afloat. Any tips on a residential mooring, as central as possible, for a 60ft widebeam? I have had a look around and the New Islington Marina coming online now looks good but also seems to be the only option. Can this be? With all the canals and quays is there only one residential mooring in Manchester? Thanks! Peter
