  1. Hi There, I'm trying to find out more about Equinox Boat Builders who were aparently from Liverpool, they built my boat in 2006, but I cannot seem to find anything about them online. I have been told by someone that they changed their name but they couldn't remember what to! I have found one boatbuilder called Equinox in Wiltshire but I don't think this is the one. Does anyone know their new name, contact details or if they are still in business? Or who their builder/builders were? The registration number for the boat is HIN: EQU007, Does anyone know if there is a way I can find out more from this? Any ideas welcome!! Many thanks, Caren
  2. Hi, I read you have a SunMar. I'm fitting out my Narrow boat and trying to decide if it's the best option?! I've seen some really bad reviews of the more expensive composting loos, and most good ones are land based bucket jobs–Can I ask what has been your experience, with the GORY details?! Is the contents fully composted when you empty it? and where do you empty it?Ha...

  3. Hi, I see from your advert for Foxglove that you had a SunMar composting loo. I'm fitting out my Narrow boat at the moment and am trying to decide whether to opt for a composting loo or casette. I have seen some fairly bad reviews of composting the more expensive composting loos and also some great ones – Can I ask what has been your experience? Where do you empty it?

  4. Thanks for your replies, I really apreciate your time. I'm still keen, (perhaps crazy too!!) but yes there is a lot to think about... its a big decision. And first I will join the London Boaters email list. Still welcome any more thoughts
  5. Hi, I'm thinking about buying a narrowboat and living aboard, (something I've always wanted to do). I know that living in London there is little to no chance of a residential mooring so would be getting a CC lisence and moving around. I understand the 14 day rule and that I would need to move from place to place and not bridge hop back and forward, which is fine, but I have been reading about the BW's proposed Lee Mooring Managent, and new neighbourhoods, and of course this would make it very difficult for anyone to liveaboard and work in London without a home mooring. I have only been able to find references to it online from last year, does anyone know if/when/how it will go ahead? Will it be enforced straight away? Any ideas about what will happen to livaboarders in London if it does? Any comments, info or advice welcome!
