How are you Cheshire Rose, I think the sparrow's are on what used to be my allotment, little blighter's, used to massacre my pea's every year. No sparrow's here in County Kerry, plenty of other birds, Siskin's ,Bullfinches, Bramblings, Pippet's, Hobbies, numerous Sky Larks which seemed to have disappeared from the Derbyshire landscape, I think this was due to changer's in the farming techniques, that is one of the the thing's here that reminds me of growing up in a Derbyshire village, still got the small two acre fields, trees and hedgerows, a haven for small birds. much of the farming as never changed , a bird watches paradise. We did have a Pereigrine, fitted with a transmitter, which was tracked back and forwards up into Northern Ireland, only for some ruthless person to shoot it returning to Kerry to nest.

They was there fifteen years ago whence I had my first narrowboat, and still there today, some experts !!!!
