Did the washing at lunch and got wet feet! The sinks leaking- through what looks like a breather?? I've taken the grease trap, and all the pipes apart and flushed clean, but still leaking. Have never seen a breather- if thats what it is? I took it apart, and their is a small mishaped rubber cap. Is the small part on the top right.

If Marlow is any use, I can put a course on for £50 / head, plus a £30 licence fee.

Not sure what they're called or if they exist- do people ever have wood and windowed covers made over the stern of the boat- barge style? Am looking at a pram cover for my WB, but thought as its a square back I wonder about a more substancial cover. Its standard tiller stear, so would have to be built with this in mind, and imagine it would probably not be collapasable, or as quick as a pram anyway.

Worked out the calorafier is approx 50L, roughly 12inches accross. Will I be able to use an 11inch immersion heater or need the 7inch?

Well, i've kinda answered one of my own questions- I want investigating, and attcked what I thought was a lump in the foam! Are they all the same fit? Or how do I work out size and length?

Sorry, know this has been mentioned several times, have used the search function etc. My calorafier pictured below. Can I fit an emersion heater for shore hookup? I cant locate a blanking plate, but didnt know if anyone can tell me if its hidden behind the foam, or if I can replace the top cap? If I can fit it, i've also got the webasto to go in soon. My questions- If the immersion element is heating the water for the shower / taps, but I run the rads heated from the webasto, can I run it so the I have option of the engine, webasto, and heater for shower? If that makes any sense! If I use the immersion or engine for rads, i'm assuming I run a pump to push the water to the rads- how would I plumb this with the webasto in the system? Thanks all!

I've been playing and smelling more tonight. Is strange- the pipes in the 2nd wardrobe don't smell at all- so I'm wondering if filter related. The hose layout of mine I'd believe would trap any moisture at the bottom. Thoughts?

Took me bloody ages to find one, looked online etc- then my local chandlers had one in ordered by mistake- £10. Result. Was slightly damp in the housing, so I wonder if I have a blocked pipe there as well. Once I had the correct name- was easy to find. They do small and large. Glad to see this post- I was just about to start one exactly the same. I have a vetus pump out, and it stinks! To the point of one cupboard in the bedroom (tank under bed) is unusable. The best I can describe the smell as is rubbery poo! I've tried blue, oderless, and chemical free. When I get pump out the tank is washed 4 times! When I 1st bought the bought, the tank had never been drained- once it was full the previous pumped into the river hamble... I've suspected it to be the pipes 'breathing' as replaced the carbon filter etc. My next move will be to replace all the pipes with solid ones. Should have also said- I have genuine vetus pipe work.

Yer, thats the easy option. Guess i'm just being soppy as its our 1st home, not just a boat for pleasure. Would suit, if wasnt paying back my loan each month. Is only £500 a month, but that was why I was looking at renting it to pay that.

Thats great- thanks all. Now need to work out what to do with my life instead of the rental option: Option 1, stay in the UK, keep the boat- lifes (job, location etc) ok, could be better. Option 2, been offered a job on an island of the coast of NZ! Population of 900. No mains power, water etc (so like living on the boat!). Would mean selling the boat, moving away etc... If didnt like it, then no boat to come back to! Hmmm, decisions...

As it says, may be changing jobs, which would mean moving abroad for a bit. My boats a 52x10, single bedroom. 2011 build. Needs craining / survery etc 2015 if I remember rightly so good for that side of things. Pump out toilet, diesel heaters etc etc. No mooring as this is tied in with my work. Has anyone rented a boat, how risky the fact it can be moved- trackers a realistic option? Any advice welcome please!

Pump now replaced and running fine. Old pump seems dead. Tested but wont turn- no idea why would just 'die' over night though.

Hi Keith, No as didnt know how, but did wonder if such a thing existed!

Just on lunch break so checked with the multimeter. Got power, so guessing the pump. Dont understand why just stopped over night- but guess needs a new pump. Its a PAR-MAX4 25psi pump. Replace with same or anyone advise better?

Hi All, advice please before I start taking things apart. My water pump was working fine at midnight last night, not pumped in the night etc, but not working this morning. Checked the reset, and tried taps and toilet. Any ideas please?

Thanks for replies all- even if some a little patronising to a newbie... Anyway... thanks for help everyone- will look at fitting a 2nd tank. The only reason I mentioned blue in the water was to keep the loo cleaner- much like adding a blue block in a house toilet cistern.
