Is it a pain as a CCer to catch up with mail, or do junctions allow acceptance of forwarded mail. thanks for any help

Not on the water yet, but soon as the house sells Im away. Time to do the planning and ask all those questions so bear with me folks.

Is a framed panel better on a rotational base, allowing for optimum elevation and positioning regardless of where you are moored, have seen them on a few sites for sale. You have to set them when moored , will they still work when flat whilst travelling.

My plan is a 55 to 57' narrowboat as a CCer, can anyone let me know the rough cost of insurance for a year, first year so zero no claims.

I have watched a few youtube videos with people doing a self pump out. I have fitted numerous macerator toilets and they will pump to a vertical height of 6 to 7 m and a considerable distance, I wonder if one could be adapted as a SPO unit, any ideas. Thanks

Is it more practical to have a diesel generator on board as back up rather than a petrol. Saving on the need for two types of fuel. Have seen a 3.0Kva Electric start for £450, yes more pricey than a petrol one but is that the only negative.
