  1. Hi Can anyone help me to synchronise a bmv to my battery bank please. We have had the battery monitor fitted for about 4 years and spent the last 18 months on a electric hook up, now we are back out on the cut relying on solar and the genny.Solars have been on for approximately 4 years as well. The problem I am having at the moment is when I look at the volt reading it reads let's say 1300v but when I press the illumination button on the meter this drops to 1278v sometimes the readings can vary a lot more. So I thought if I did a resynche it may cure the problem or could the battery monitor be faulty. Thanks
  2. Yes I would like to record the generator running hours for oil changes etc. But the ones I have seen so far are all to deep to fit in the casing without hitting into something that's why I was after a surface mounted one. I was after a dc one after seeing one being fitted on YouTube using the 12v charging port wires on the front of the eu20i. I may give edge technology crewe a ring this morning to see if they have any ideas.
  3. Looking at the measurements some of them might be to big to fit in the body of the eu20i genny, anyone got any ideas where I can obtain a surface mounted one that records hours only.
  4. That's it all sorted waiting to be tested tomorrow, sometimes it's best to have a cuppa and a think. Feeling proud ??
  5. Just took carb off and this is this the spacer but it will have to remain in situation as you can see.
  6. There is a black spacer that sits behind the carb and against the engine body. But not to sure if I need to remove this. I have got longer studs that were sent with the kit This is the part that fits between the carb and air filter
  7. I have seen the video but I'm not replacing the carb have tried looking on YouTube but no luck was hoping to get it fitted today.
  8. Hi Just hoping someone can give me a bit of information. I have just brought a gas conversion kit from edge technology but they are not open today and I was hoping to get it fitted today. Anyway I have filled the instructions which are not the best. Removed air filter and changed studs for longer ones fitted the gas adapter onto the carb and behind the air filter but it sits proud. Do I need to remove the black piece that sits between the engine and carb Cheers
  9. Hi Where can I purchase a dc hour meter from preferably a UK source Thank
  10. This is the victron I am using on the boat but I am unsure which edition it is that's why I am asking if it would still be okay to bond the neutral and earth in the plug.
  11. I have a victron on board but unsure if it as the conversion capabilities it is on a 2005 boat. Would it be okay to still bond the neutral and earth in the plug without doing damage to the inverter / charger
  12. Hi Can anyone tell me how efficient it is to run a EU20I on gas, where's the best place to buy a conversion kit and are they easy to fit Cheers
  13. We put solid oak flooring down but had a small leak which we didn't know about until one of the planks showed sign of a split. So I tend to agree that engineered flooring is or would be 100% better. If I had the chance again that is what I would do
  14. I have looked at the members list and I couldn't find a Stephen is he still active ?
  15. Just wondered if anyone else can think of any moorings in or around market Drayton that accomadates liveaboards perhaps with electric and preferably an on line mooring Thanx once again
  16. Thanks for all the replies and the help, obviously I had it wrong it's called being in a marina far to long, time to get out and about again ?
  17. There is a travel power fitted to the boat. When I used to be ccr and the boat engine was off the lights on the right used to remain on but they do not come on now unless the engine is running or the boat is connected to the shore power. There are also 2 X 140 w solar panels which provide power to the batteries whilst stationery these have been on the boat for about 3 years.
  18. Hi There is a phoenix multi control unit on the boat which we have lived on for 4 years. When we are on shore power the lights work for the mains on, bulk, absorption and float they also work when we have disconnected the shore power and the boat is running. But as soon as the boat is switched off and shore power disconnected the lights go out. They used to stay on but not anymore so as anyone got any ideas or thoughts as why they are not working now. Thanks
  19. Hi Just wondering if anyone can help me with uploading photos I did see it somewhere and I have done it before but it's been a long time ago. I am only working off phone as I have no computer Thanks
  20. Thank you all for the replies I will ring round tomorrow to look for a mooring. What's the sort of price on a 70ft around that area ?
  21. Hello As anyone got any numbers for moorings near market Drayton for a 70ft n/b. I am down on the g&s at the moment I have been here for 4 years so it's time for a change and also there is a chance of a driving job up there so I would like to move. Interested in the moorings where the pump out is near the boat yard, sorry can't remember the name. Thanx for any help
  22. Thanks for that bizzard I will give it a try later if I,m back home. But if not I will do it on the weekend. The plug cock fitted to the fire as not got the nut it is fitted with a split pin. I have already had it apart but never thought of laping it to refresh the surfaces. Cheers bud ? The guy at harworth heating said the fires usually come with 8mm fittings but its the boat yards that change things hence the 5/16 tap with 1/4 inlet and outlet. Not to bad to get a bit of a weep now though, it as been in the boat since 2005.
  23. If you think thats expensive, google 5/16 wade plug cock they average £27 - £31 for brass
  24. Its 5/16 tap with 1/4 inlet and outlet end with compression fittings. Is it possible to upload photos using a mobile if so, how
