  3. Even Sally Ash dosent mind as long as you 'behave' yourselves!
  4. One persons piss taker is another persons friend. Don't assume we sit in the same box (please)
  5. I firmly believe that there is more than one camp when it comes to the perennial cc whinge, one of those camps don't really get effected by ccers yet love the opportunity to hate anything that differs from their choice of lifestyle. I hear 'live and let live' bandied about often, usually by those that want to disect others lives within an inch of detail. Love the film BTW, good job
  6. In my experience, human resources seldom have anything to do with humans.
  7. I thought they went Eco and now run off of the hot air that is spare from here?
  8. Gawd forbid we should actually choooooose our own lifestyle...
  9. Don't worry, it's still the same victo... Sorry Tom, he manages to pretty much belittle the reality of poor mental health in his usual insulting way. Balance restored?
  10. Yep, I struggle to see how my stove could fall over, the flue is doing a good job of that and I could always put a bracket around that? Now where did I put that glue...
  11. So cutting the heads off of bolts and gluing them to the feet to fool the inspector is norty is it? Good tip Tony, unfortunately I am going to have to do mine retrospectively which is a blood pain! I'm wondering if I would get by with one of these over each foot? I might stand a chance of using a 90 degree drill head and tech screws?

  13. Or..., Someone wants to know if anyone else is experiencing the same issues? I don't really need to defend the OP, they may well be trolling, but personally I don't like this constant need to accuse. I don't this it brings anything. We could all reply reasonably, as some have by saying that we don't have the same issue.
  14. The thing that makes me feel uneasy, both in this and the 'tree' thread is the singling out of an individual by more than one person based on personality. (Or the personality we think we can see in others writing styles) I have seen this sort of thing quickly turn into bullying and I hate to think of someone being made to feel like shit by loads of people. Call it what you like, but I prefer to live my life giving people trust and respect that they don't have to earn, try it, it's good for the soul! And ultimately I dare say that the reason for some if this ire is because someone has dared to question a way of life that we hold so dear, maybe it would be a more positive approach to seek solution instead of defending a problem?
  15. Yep, I get that the two month ting and that's what I would like to see implemented for anyone living in a legal dwelling. I understand that landlords only have to satisfy the eviction process and are not bound to give a reason, this is a bit of the housing law that I would like to see changed. I am coming at this in relation to my other passion of course. Hope all is good with you btw, Gis a shout next time you are passing, they have ESB back on at the fox... Maybe quality over quantity? I also think that Ccers should be afforded the same right, however that's for an other day..
  16. My understanding of housing law (and I am a little rusty) tells me that by default some marinas and CRT have already created tenancies weather they intended to or not. Not that I intend to try this, but I'd be interested in seeing a test case bought based on housing legislation. Haven't quite formed my thinking on this but I think it would surprise a few. ETA, there is a way of evicting problematic tenants, and that is by using the law that we already have. It takes time but so it should IMO.
  17. I'm not saying 'making it difficult' I'm saying bring it in line with current housing law. That's fair IMO. I would also would rather see less residential moorings run ethically than sham landlord private marinas using the right to shelter as leverage.
  18. A good point, to be honest, for all I know most people on here could be fake! I'm blissfully happy to think otherwise though. Anyway, welcome to the forum Emilia, I'm guessing it must be odd to be analysed in such minutiae on a boat forum! I hope you find a solution to your problem, it dose seem that it's not a common found issue amongst us.
  19. Intrigued to what a power bath is though... I have visions of 300 gallons of water being dumped on yer swede at once!
  20. if that's what you think fine, but the judge rules that it wasn't a vexatious claim. End of. The rest doesn't appear quite so clear cut. Personal and regardless of the rights and wrongs of these folk, I am concerned on a more general front about the inequality of housing law when it comes to people who live on boats. Ultimately we have no security of tenure and that, I find worrying. I would also like to see a law passed that bought residents of any dwelling in line with the standard housing laws, again, regardless of the rights and wrongs of folk, evicting people never going to help anything. Fat thumbs, poor grasp of grammar, tired non edit.
  21. Also know to take a power nap on the bank, at 2am.....
