  1. Looks like a fantastic experience to have had - thanks for posting those images.
  2. Additional thought. If you or a friend don't already have an imaging program and feel able, you could try using something like Clonezilla. The aim being to make a sector by sector copy of your SD card. This way if you do accidentally damage the data on the card while attempting to find your images, you could still have a copy elsewhere to attempt recovery from. Good luck with it. Andy.
  3. This is a fairly well known and trusted program, that I've used in the past to rescue images from a friends corrupted system. PhotoRec It's been a while since I've used it, but it is free and worked for me.
  4. I get it Phylis, it all has to be seen in the context of use and care. I appreciate the insight, many thanks. Andy.
  5. Really ? - off topic I know, but any links to photos of same and background info? Better put myself back on topic. Any further info re. impact of a boat's age in relation to it's suitability for purchase appreciated. (volunteers for carlt should probably PM him directly )
  6. Thanks 'Keeping Up' appreciate the way you replied. I hadn't considered that older boats might have been less robustly built. Hehe - any perplexity brought about by not knowing your age, is immediately relieved with the realisation I won't be required to lift you up and scrape your bottom in order to help me guess.
  7. Hello everyone, When looking for a second hand semi-trad or cruiser to buy, with the hope of being able to maintain it for a further 15 yrs, how important is the age of such a boat when looking through listings for possibilities? Tks, Andy.
  8. Hello Canal World, My Wife Kath and myself (Andy) have been drawn towards the idea of living on-board for a while now, but haven't seriously followed it up. We've now decided that we'd like to step that up a gear and see if it's something we can really make work for us. Best wishes and thanks in advance for any help you are able to offer. Andy & Kath.
