Hi Last year we moored at Camden Lock for a few days. Every morning we were woken by the guys, with the "white lightning" bottles, sitting on the bench (we were moored alongside). During the day, on the same bench, could be found the guys selling their "puff". Is this what you mean? I can assure you that everyone we met, along the towpath there, were some of the nicest folks you could wish to meet. Including the guys I've mentioned. In my years of ccing I have realized that there is no such place as "bandit country". Things have "happened" to us, including being broken into (grrr), but there is nowhere that we would'nt moor, including where we got broken into (grrr). Hope this helps. Pitlit

Hi when we bought our new (to us) boat it had a gas fridge. We, eventually replaced it with a 12v fridge. When I removed the "tail" from the "T", to blank it off, I discovered that the connections had been put together using red hermatite. On looking closer I found that feed to the fridge was partially blocked with the hermatite. Could this be your problem?

Hi I have read all the posts on this thread and, it appears to me, they are mostly positive ie boaters are not generally thick. However, the poll results give a different impression. ie Yes 28 No 6 Whats thick 17 Can anyone comment on this?
