Its a year since we enjoyed the Banters at Thrupp (Oxford Canal) and then Braunston - both good fun

A repeat performance is well overdue . . .

Perhaps I should organise a flat warming banter?

After all I have been here almost 6 months and not had a party yet!

So, does anyone know the oxford canal well and know a lovely place to meet up that does camping (incase my boat doesn't make it) and has mooring (incase it does!)

My flat is no where near the Oxford.........

Alvecote on the Coventry is close........ plenty of good moorings and an airbed on the lounge floor for Bones to camp on!

That's the one Bones...... the tent thing ...... lets leave the camp thing to HBF (he does it so well!!)

a few rules........ bring your own undies....... expressing you like mine does not mean you can borrow them

Anything that is dead stays OUTSIDE the flat down wind from any airvents.

I love the tent thing. As for undies, I won't need to borrow yours they won't provide any form of cover from the elements AT ALL.

Anyway - this is all

If anyone has any suggestions bring em on.

OK. I will have a look at my maps and ask around and come up with something over the weekend. I shall also suggest some dates! Hurrah.

Edit: I have from the 20th - 30th off so how about we go for Bank Holiday monday the 24th? Or do you prefer a mid-week option, the 26th ish?

I might be able to make it, as I have to get out of the water in that area this year. mind you what about the Rock of Gibralter, best canal side pub I know now and huge garden.

that could be a possibility for the 29th March, but it might be a bit far for most people....

Wow, that 1,594 miles from Warwick! At 4mph that's gonna take me quite a while by narrowboat.

Did anyone establish whether the Pie pub at Napton does camping? If so, we could go there again.
