Grand Union Canal Walk

Hi All

 

I am intending to start walking the Grand Union Canal, Birmingham - London, in July and have decided to see if anybody would like to come along. It's not my intention to go into to much detail here, however if you live local to Birmingham/Midlands and may be interested then drop an email too: mikeytoo@btinternet.com

 

The plan is to complete the walk over a period of a couple of months, usually by day walks and a few weekends. If all goes well I am thinking about turning right at the Thames and following the Thames Path to the Kennet & Avon Canal and then following this to the River Severn and back to Birmingham via Stourport and the Staffs & Worcs Canal.

 

The itinary, other than the Grand Union, is fluid at the moment (no pun intended!) however if you fancy a stroll to London through July and August then get in touch. I have placed this post on other appropriate forums
