How about this for a bargain

'Hero' moored at Higher Poynton. Boatman's cabin, Gardner engine just a small amount of work needed, nice interior. Grubby paintwork but after a clean it's close to immaculate. Apparently recently changed hands for the princely sum of £5000.00.

 

Why am I never around when these bargains crop up?

If it's the Hero I think it might be, it used to be owned by fellow painter Jane Selkirk and her husband Mac. Health issues saw them leave the cut a few years ago. I have one of her water cans here in my workshop for touching up, just a few chips here and there. Surely there's a zero missing from the selling price, or has someone bagged an absolute bargain?
