Looking for NB Pyxis

I am doing my best to keep a register of R W Davis 'Northwich Traders' and I would appreciate some help in tracking down a couple that have 'gone missing' - that is not to say that they have disappeared, it is just that I don't know where they are! Any assistance from members of this forum in helping me to track them down and contact the owners would be very much appreciated.

NORTHWICH TRADERS

 

NB 'Pyxis', a 70' craft with a Kelvin K3 engine, was sold by Malcolm Burge last year after it was rescued from the premises 'Anthony M' when they ceased trading. Pyxis left R W Davis as a 'sailaway' and 'Anthony M' were partly through fitting it out. I have spoken with the previous owner and Malcolm and am aware of the boat's history but I have no details of where it is now or who now owns it.

 

I would also be grateful for any news of NB 'Will' - a 62' vessel with a Kelvin K2 engine.

Is it just me or is it slightly odd that Northwich Trader 'Florence' according to http://www.grahamoliver.com/alnwick/traders.htm was built in 2000, on Apollo Duck, she was built in 2002 (see )http://www.apolloduck.co.uk/display.phtml?aid=55221) and Boats and Outboards has her built date, in the blurb, as 2003 (http://www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk/view/F116561).

 

It's a small point, I know, I was just pointing it out and wondering who was right.

It may be that all the dates are right to a point - as far as I know, five 'Northwich Trader' hulls were built by R W Davis & Son in 2000 and 'Florence' was one of these - most of them were sold as 'sailaways' with just the engine and transmission installed (and, in most cases, the boatmans cabin fitted out) but nothing else - it may well have been another couple of years before the owner or contractors had completed their work on the fitting out the front cabin etc.

 

Having said all that, I am still gathering information . . .
