SHOW DETAILS:

Before becoming The Angry Boater, Joel Sanders grew up in Hillingdon, ran a successful comedy club in Ruislip, headlined leading comedy venues across the USA & lived happily at his flat in Watford.

One day, on a bit of a whim, he bought a boat in Uxbridge and moved it up the canal to Hemel Hempstead.

HE HAD NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY!

So what went wrong?

For one weekend only, Joel brings his 5 star rated comedy show back to the area where he spent his formative years (went shopping sometimes).

Living the dream or surviving a nightmare?

What’s it REALLY like living on a canal boat?

Determined from an early age to prove his father wrong (“Jews Don’t Live on Boats”), 20 years on, Joel struggles to do just that …. full time … with zero practical skills … and a short temper.

During its 2015 residency in East London, as well as consistently giving the show 5 star ratings, here’s what real audience members said about ‘Angry Boater Live':

“Entertainment for boaters, boating curious’ and … simply a good night for anyone who wants to meet diverse & interesting people and have a laugh. Joel connects with the audience, engaging with every single person, before during and after the performance… making this a really personal and memorable experience.”

“Great midweek show, very entertaining and a nice informal relaxed atmosphere.”

“Amusing anecdotes and life stories – half centred around canal boat living. The Jewish angst added to the eccentricity of it all. Highly recommend for a pleasant evening.”

“I was expecting someone really angry and sort of scary. Joel Sanders is a very funny guy with a nice evening of stories to tell…. he chats with his audience but never victimises them.”
