Sorry I know this isn't anything to do with "general boating", but didn't want it to get lost in the Pub section.

Just picked this up off the ACC FB page...

Apologies for non boat related, but boaters have good eyes and canals are good places to hide. If anyone is around the West Midlands please keep an eye. Friends of friends.

Urgent appeal to find Coventry school friends

Police are urgently appealing for sightings of two Coventry friends who have been missing since yesterday morning.

Nina Kryukova and Denis Murphy – both aged 15 – have not been seen since Monday morning (20 April) when they didn't turn up to Blue Coat Church of England School.

Their families reported them missing to police and initial enquiries suggested the pair were together in Birmingham City centre at around midday yesterday but neither has made contact with their family since disappearing. One subsequent line of enquiry is that they are attempting to travel to Cardiff.

Coventry Police PC Alicia White, said: “Both families are naturally very worried…it’s totally out of character for them to simply vanish and I’d urge anyone who believes they’ve seen them to contact us immediately.

“Nina and Denis are vulnerable teenagers, not street wise it’s fair to say, so we urgently want to ensure they are safe and well.”

Nina is described as white, around 5ft 5ins tall, with long, light brown hair and silver braces on her teeth, while Denis is white, 5ft 8ins tall, thin, and with long black hair.

Both were wearing blue school uniforms at the time they were last seen, including a dark blue blazer and dark blue trousers, though it’s understood both had hoodies with them. Nina was also carrying a green fabric rucksack.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Alicia White at Coventry Central police station on the 101 number.
