thank you, am reading it now, very interesting, we have what we have been told is a 1978 boat made by them, it as well has been sunk, but lifted out of canal, we have then had it replated, we are currently refitting it, and painting it. Wonder how you found the windows? Never seen windows quite like them, did you find them draughty or cold? are they very bad with leaking? We have been trying to add photos but having problems with the sizing.

The windows on ours opened outwards, rather like the fanlights on a house. No they weren't cold or draughty, and they didn't leak once we'd replaced the seals - although the screws that they were fitted with tended to let water in down the threads until I sealed them with mastic. The only real drawback was that as they opened outwards, they could catch on a lockside or a lift bridge (which is how one of them had been permanently lost before we got the boat) and also they could knock you off the gunwale as you walked along the side.

Now as to leaks between the GRP top and the hullm, that's a very different matter - although even they were not nearly as bad as the leaks from the handrails.
