Thorneycroft Gauge panel on BMC1.8 beeping

The buzzer on our Gauge panel has started beeping at about twice a second (could be faster or slower not timed it) To start with I thought it was the alternator belts as I had not long changed them but it didn't get faster or slower with the engine.

It was a bit hard to track down where it was coming from due to the BMC being a bit noisey.

Panel is a Thorneycroft and the enging is a BMC 1.8 if that helps!

Anyone have any ideas what this might be, at the moment my only thought is to attack the wires with a set of cutters (no car radio in the rear so can't use that to hide the noise;) ).
