As some of you may know I am looking for a 2 cyl. Vetus engine. I put a 'wanted' in For sale and wanted but received no comments. Obviously either extremely rare or extremely crap second hand - the only one that I could find for sale was in Virginia, USA. I now have a copy of the Feb. 'Towpath Talk' and low and behold there is a 2cyl Vetus for sale but from a generator. Does anyone who KNOWS have any thoughts as I know very little about modern engines(or old engines come to that) as the latest engine I have any direct knowledge of is a 1960 PD2. My main concern would be that as it was from a generator the speed control/governor might not be compatible as I know all the grief the vintage engine boys have with sorting this.
