Wiggins
Speaking as someone who attends a cancer unit for non smoking based cancer, I find the stink outside from the smokers makes a horrible visit worse. I also get furious at people who could do something to help their health (if they are not terminal) & who fail to do, when I can't.
Doorman
Speaking as someone who attends a cancer unit for non smoking based cancer, I find the stink outside from the smokers makes a horrible visit worse. I also get furious at people who could do something to help their health (if they are not terminal) & who fail to do, when I can't. My heart goes out to you! How frustrating it must be to see these people willingly lowering their own life expectancy, when the medical staff within the unit are battling to prolong the lives of their patients. It just doesn't make any sense, does it? Mike Edited May 7, 2012 by Doorman
Titan
Titan I beg you to stay the course and keep a steady line through what I know is a rough and troublesome sea. I stopped smoking I think about three years ago (The fact that I don't remember when I stopped is fantastic)and I can honestly say that 1. It gets easier 2 you will be so so proud of yourself 3 You won't smell 4 You won't have those terrible black shadows hanging over your shoulder "Have I got cancer?" 5 You won't smell 6 You won't smell 7 You won't smell There is a beautiful fragrant life away from smoking. Please stay the course IT IS WORTH IT! Best wishes Rock Thankyou for your support and kind words, I would like to think ive kicked it, i know many people suddenly fall after months of stopping however i am lucky , as i have stopped now for 5 months and i wanted to stop. To be honest there lies the truth, i wanted to stop, once i had faced the habit and decided to try and brake the habit ,the addiction quickly disapated. So occasionaly after a meal or perhaps a nite down the pub , i will think back as to how i once enjoyed a smoke at those moments, (remiss) perhaps, But even so, i now DONT want one. I now watch others huddled outside in the rain enjoying there smoke, and am thankfull i am no longer one. regards Martin
