Hello Folks

We are, at present, having our first boat fitted out at Kingfisher Narrowboats at Trent Lock, so I figured it time I finally joined the forum, having trawled through it enough times, on our way to this point.

After around 20 years of hiring, this will be our first boat, and our home once I retire at Christmas. She's a 62ft Semi Trad, to be called "The Cat's Whiskers". Painting is well underway, the windows and mushroom vents are in, and the engine (Beta 42) gets dropped in next week. After that the spray foam man cometh. The shell was fabricated at Narrowboats of Staffordshire.

Would appreciate hearing from any any forum members going through a similar process. with their first boat.

It seems part excitiement, part terror and part exhilaration.

Roger

I live near Trent Lock but have a boat under way at Stourbridge.

My steelwork is nearing completion and the fit out is starting soon. Like this Monday when

I'm going down to start battening and do some more painting.

See below and good luck with yours.
