Want to crew on Journeyman ?

Having just returned from a 7 week jaunt around the South Warwickshire

ring and back to Cambridge I've come to the conclusion that

single-handing a 70 footer has become harder over the last few

years...mainly due to the effects of anno domini on back and knees.

Does anyone on this group fancy the idea of crewing on a few (usually

short 3 days, sometimes longer - 2 weeks) trips between Bedford,

Cambridge, Ely and Peterborough ?

Journeyman is a comfortable 70' narrowboat with a 1929 Lister JP3.

Crew share expenses (Food and Drink) and will need to bring a their own

wet-gear, sleeping bag and a pillow.

Visit www.pmopro.co.uk/journeyman for more details of

the boat, to arrange a day-cruise 'taster' and meet the other blokes

that crew from time to time. You'll need to register (ie create an

Account) to get full access to the site.

If I had seen this earlier I would have been there like a shot, having w/c 16th as a holiday. But time has shot past and there are still 50 million jobs to do.

However, my next holiday is booked for w/c October 27th. Let me know.

I also get a 5 day break every 4 weeks, my next one is starting Friday 18th September. But since the following day is our wedding anniversary, I had better not be absent!

Then 17th October for 5 days.

Can I be of assistance?

Thanks for all the responses - I've got back to you all, I think, now...a great response from here, direct to the website and from uk.rec.waterways.

I'll be posting details of an initial meet-up, so please make sure you've created an acount and have entered your email addresses correctly to the site, so that I can send out a mail with details, from all those who have registered.

Trips are announced on the site and bookings taken from the 'Trips' section ... see FAQs for instructions.

I don't spend my life on t'internet so it may take me a couple of days to repond to emails . but please use the 'contact' section of the site to get hold of me as I don't get to this group that often.

Journeyman's website is at www.pmopro.co.uk/journeyman

Cheers,

Nick
