Paint colouring on polishing cloth

My boat was repainted about four years ago, (1 year before I bought it). I have used Craftmaster 'Wash' and 'Wax' over the last three years and the paint finish looks good. However, I still get paint colour on the cloth each time I polish. Is this unusual?
