Padworth Swing Bridge 30th March - 4th April?

Hi,

 

There's a stoppage at Padworth Swing Bridge, in effect from last Sunday (although they didn't exactly shout about it from the roof tops - I missed getting through by about three hours, can you tell I'm bitter?!) and originally due to finish 9am today.

 

Waterscape website is now updated to read 9am tomorrow.

 

Speaking to the people actually doing the work, there's a slim chance it'll be finished tomorrow evening and they won't be working over the weekend if they miss that deadline

 

They've dammed the canal, but BW have failed to lock Padworth lock, and each time a boat goes through the dam overflows costing several hours while they pump all the water back out.

 

So if you're in the area, please avoid coming any further than Aldermaston lift bridge - there's very little space left to moor here now anyway!
