Just finish our first proper canal related activity

IWA canal clean up down the GU through Leighton buzzard

i was expecting the shopping trolleys and cycles etc

but was surprised how much boat related crap we dragged out of the cut

makes you wonder how some "boaters" view the canal system!!!

anyway we had a great time

but ain't been this knacker-ed for a few years!!

Could you give some examples?

 

I've had to clear some stuff of the prop when on the GU, but it was either the 'plastic bag' experience or, once, when I had to dive in the weed hatch twice within thirty-odd yards near Denham Deep and that was just clearing off real weed, windfall, and nature (in the form of 5 yards of some weed) off the prop.
