the ongoing stoppage at the flood lock adjecent to fields farm rd long eaton has been left in a dangerous state by the EA contractors - they have removed the top stop planks ( i assume because of the flooding they caused earlier ) so nothing is visable at the water level - there are signs advising caution and the bridge is rolled halfway across the canal with another sign advising caution but nothing to say stop shut or to advise of the underwater obstruction that any boat will collide with - i only found out because some kind soul flagged me down.
