richardf
Hi, A few years ago I went on one of those one day fender making classes and every so often make a few key ring fenders for presents etc. I can remember how to do it (I think) but can't find a supplier for the different colour rope (twine?) that you need. Does anyone know anywhere to buy it - I know you see stands at the national doing it. Thanks Richard
pagan witch
Can the Guild of Knot Tyers help ? They have a forum at http://www.igkt.net/sm/ Failing that Tradline seem to have just about every kind of string / twine / rope etc you could wish for - they also do mail order www.tradline.co.uk Must be said that their web site is a bit less than brilliant but if you give them a call the staff are brilliant. Not exactly what you had in mind but I've used plain white cotton string to make minatures out of - have a friend who makes model RC boats and I use this for making his fenders. B&Q warehouses also sell a variety of rope and twine. I have bought bits and pieces there for things like bell ropes etc. HTH Howard Anguish
