Coolant change

I have a vetus engine, and I have'nt changed the coolant since I bought it 8 years ago. What coolant do I need Silicate or non Silicate.?

I have always used the standard blue stuff in our Vetus and change about 3 years. 
Will need a good flush or two after 8 years. Also depends on what was in before.
I am changing to the ten year stuff next time, but again it will need a flush or three.
